2024 IDrive in Success

The Whitsunday Sporting Car Club (WSCC) is excited to announce the successful launching of the 2024 iDRIVE program, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our iDRIVE Coordinator, Peter McPhee, and our outstanding WSCC team including Tas Taylor, Finn Hansen, Ian Single, Daniel Lowe, Lisa Stanley and our amazing canteen staff. Despite initial challenges with weather and track conditions, we were thrilled to kick off the program with our first session held on the weekend of July 27th & 28th.

The iDRIVE program is a crucial initiative aimed at introducing young juniors from the Whitsunday community to the exciting world of motorsport and promoting safe driving practices in a supportive environment. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure participants aged 12-17 could develop their skills with confidence.

Following a successful first weekend session, our students eagerly attended the second session on August 24th & 25th. This session further enhanced participants’ abilities and nurtured their passion for motorsport. The determination shown by both participants and our WSCC team truly exemplified the unwavering spirit of our community’s dedication to motorsports.

As we approach the final stretch of our 2024 iDRIVE program set for September 28th &; 29th where participants can look forward to honing their skills even further under expert guidance while making lasting memories alongside like-minded peers.

iDrive Coordinator Peter McPhee acknowledges that this success would not have been possible without the dedicated support of the WSCC Team. We are already looking forward to next year's program in 2025.
